Application of molybdenum sheet in chemical equipment components
Molybdenum sheet is widely used in chemical equipment parts because of its excellent physical and chemical properties. 1. High temperature furnace components
Molybdenum sheets are widely used in the manufacture of heating elements, heat shields and connectors for high temperature furnaces. These components need to be stable at high temperatures, and the high melting point and low thermal expansion rate of molybdenum sheets make them an ideal choice. For example, in vacuum furnaces and protective atmosphere furnaces, molybdenum sheets are used to manufacture heating elements and heat shields, which can effectively improve the efficiency and service life of the furnace.
2. Corrosion-resistant parts
Molybdenum sheet has strong resistance to chemical corrosion and can be used to manufacture corrosion-resistant components in chemical equipment, such as heaters, coolers, digesters, etc. These parts need to work in corrosive environments such as strong acids and alkali, and the corrosion resistance of molybdenum sheets enables long-term stable operation. For example, in sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid and other media, molybdenum is a good corrosion resistant material, can be used to manufacture large valves and reactors.
3. Application of molten glass
Pure molybdenum has sufficient corrosion resistance in molten glass (except lead glass) as an electrode material and high temperature structural material. Molybdenum electrode can be used for glass fiber wire drawing furnace, glass furnace feed electric heating, auxiliary electric heating and full electric melting heating, can improve the quality and output of glass or glass fiber, reduce energy consumption, save production costs, protect the environment and improve operating conditions.
4. Zinc smelting industry
Molybdenum tungsten alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to molten zinc, but also contains halogen salt, uranium, magnesium rich zinc salt has good corrosion resistance, can be used in the production of zinc smelting and processing of zinc liquid containers, exchangers, valves and agitators and other parts. For example, Mo-30W alloy is slightly less resistant to zinc solution corrosion than pure tungsten, but can also be used to make the above zinc-related parts.
5. Coating for short-term use at high temperature
High temperature (1400~1700°C) short-term (a few minutes to a few hours) use of antioxidant coatings are mainly used in the aerospace industry. Due to the high vacuum environment, the life of the silicide coating is shortened at high temperature and low pressure. The molybdenum disilicide coating forms a glassy SiO2 on the surface when used at atmospheric pressure at 1787°C, hindering oxygen diffusion and sticking to cracks in the coating, but is unstable at high temperatures and low pressures.
6. Molybdenum alloy die casting mold
Molybdenum alloy is used for die-casting mandrel and die casting for aluminum, zinc, copper and alloys. TZM mandrel does not deform after die casting aluminum base of automobile carburetor for more than 100,000 dies. In addition, molybdenum alloy casts have high durability and are suitable for casting steel and cast iron.
7. Lighting appliances and electronic devices
Molybdenum sheet is used to manufacture lamp and tube support, lead-in wire, anode, cathode, gate, sealing material, etc. Molybdenum, whose expansion coefficient is similar to silicon, is a good material for silicon rectifier substrate. In addition, molybdenum sheets are also used in solar cell carrier materials as a carrier for cadmium sulfide.
8. Electric furnaces and other fields
Molybdenum sheet and molybdenum alloy are widely used in the manufacture of vacuum furnaces and protective atmosphere furnaces, such as heating elements, heat shield, fasteners, chassis, guide rails, boats, etc. Molybdenum coating can be applied to steel, cast iron, copper and other metal-based parts working under high load friction conditions, such as piston rings, drums, bearings, etc.
