Tungsten alloy X-ray target" means a tungsten alloy target for anodes used in medical X-ray tubes.X - rays are usually invisible light emitted by matter when microscopic changes take place. It is a kind of electromagnetic wave with very short wavelength (about 10μm ~ 0.1μm), and has strong penetrating ability. It has a wide range of applications in military, medical, scientific and industrial and agricultural fields.

Since Roentgen discovered X-rays in 1895, X-rays have been gradually used in medical examination and diagnosis. Medical X - rays are usually used for fluoroscopy of the human body to examine lesions and bones inside the body.

However, excessive X-ray exposure can harm the patient's body, causing tissue damage, affecting physiological function, and even causing life-threatening. Therefore, the X-ray target material should not only act as the source of X-ray, but also bear the heavy responsibility of shielding rays. At present, tungsten is usually used as X-ray shielding material.

Tungsten has high melting point, good elasticity, low coefficient of expansion, good resistivity and thermal stability, and can produce X-rays when irradiated by high-speed electron beam, so it is often used as the source of X-rays in various X-ray tubes.

Tungsten alloy density, has a good ray shielding performance, X-ray and radioactive materials have a good shielding effect, to prevent 150keV gamma rays, attenuation of 90% of the thickness only 3mm thick. And compared with other shielding materials, tungsten alloy is more environmentally friendly. In addition, tungsten alloy does not produce radioactive materials, waste parts can be recycled processing, no pollution.
