Troubleshooting of argon arc welding machine

The common causes of failure of TIG arc welding machine and its maintenance methods are as follows:

I. Clamping tungsten

1. contact arcing (with high frequency oscillator or high voltage pulse generator arcing). melting

2. tungsten poles (. reduce welding current or increase tungsten pole diameter, tighten tungsten pole chuck and reduce tungsten pole extension length; replace tungsten pole with crack or tear).

II.
1. protective gas (using argon with 99.99% purity (volume fraction)).
2. early and lag air delivery time is short (there is enough early and lag air delivery time). 3. gas flow is not enough (increase gas flow).
4. damaged and leaking trachea (overhaul damaged trachea).

III. Arc instability Grease

1. the weldment.
2. joint groove is too narrow (widen joint groove, shorten arc length).
3. tungsten pole contamination (removal of contaminated part of tungsten pole).
4. the tungsten pole diameter is too large (use the correct tungsten pole and chuck).
5. arc length is too long (lower nozzle distance, shorten arc length).

IV. Excessive tungsten loss
1. gas protection is not good, tungsten electrode oxidation (clean nozzle, shorten nozzle distance, appropriately increase argon flow).
2. reverse polarity connection (increase tungsten pole diameter or change to positive polarity connection).
3. chuck overheating deformation (polish tungsten pole, replace chuck). 4. tungsten pole diameter is too small (change to large diameter tungsten pole).
5. stop welding, the tungsten electrode is oxidized (increase lag gas delivery time, not less than 1 s/10A).
