Molybdenum foil for wires and electrodes
The application of molybdenum foil as electrode and electrode lead in lamps is mainly dependent on its excellent high temperature stability, electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. Especially in lighting equipment requiring high temperatures, high voltage and high power, molybdenum foil provides reliable electrical performance and long-term durability. Electrode: In some high-power gas discharge lamps (such as metal halide lamps, xenon lamps, etc.), molybdenum foil is used as the electrode material to connect the current source and the gas discharge area. Molybdenum has a high melting point and thermal expansion resistance, making it able to withstand high voltage and high temperature environments during the start-up and operation of lamps. Molybdenum foil electrode can conduct current stably, promote gas discharge in the lamp tube, and maintain the normal operation of the lamp.
Electrode wire: In lamps, moly foil is commonly used as electrode wire or connection wire. It is used to connect electrodes to an external power source. Due to the high electrical conductivity and high temperature resistance of molybdenum, it can transmit current stably when the lamp is working to ensure the smooth lighting process. For example, in incandescent or halogen lamps, mo foil acts as a wire connecting the electrode to the power supply, which can provide long-term stable current transmission.
High temperature and corrosion resistance: In the high temperature environment of the lamp, molybdenum foil electrodes and wires can maintain their shape and performance, and will not fail due to temperature changes or chemical reactions, especially in halogen lamps, molybdenum foil can resist the corrosion of halogen gas and extend the service life of the lamp.
