Molybdenum sheet (molybdenum foil)
The application of molybdenum sheet (molybdenum foil) in high temperature furnace is mainly due to the excellent performance of molybdenum, especially in high temperature and extreme environment. The following are the main applications of molybdenum tablets in the furnace:
High temperature heating element: Molybdenum foil has a very high melting point (about 2620°C), so it is often used in heating elements of high temperature furnaces such as vacuum furnaces and atmosphere furnaces. Molybdenum sheet and molybdenum foil can withstand extremely high temperatures without melting or deformation, suitable for long working hours under high temperature conditions.
High temperature shielding material: In high temperature furnace, molybdenum sheet is often used as heat insulation shielding or heat reflection material. Its chemical stability at high temperatures and low vapor pressure make it able to effectively prevent heat loss and improve heating efficiency.
Electrode material: Molybdenum sheet and molybdenum strip are sometimes used as a high-temperature electrode material, especially in vacuum or inert gas environments. Its high electrical conductivity and high temperature oxidation resistance make it superior in some high temperature processes (such as sintering, metal smelting, etc.).
Support and fixed structural parts: Due to the low mechanical strength and coefficient of thermal expansion of molybdenum, in the furnace, it can also be used as a fixing and supporting element to maintain the stability of the heating element or other components in the furnace.
Crucible and melting vessels: Molybdenum is also used in the manufacture of crucible and other melting vessels for the smelting of metals, ceramics or chemical materials at high temperatures.
These properties of molybdenum strips and molybdenum sheets make them ideal for applications where high temperatures, stability and corrosion resistance are required.
