Due to the high temperature strength of refractory metal molybdenum, good electrical and thermal conductivity, low expansion coefficient and easy processing, molybdenum wire has been widely used in automotive halogen tungsten lamp, high-pressure sodium lamp, lighting halogen tungsten lamp and other special bulbs and special electric light source devices to manufacture their required hooks, cores, leads and plastic brackets and other parts. However, when the pure molybdenum foil strip with a thickness of 0.02 ~ 0.06mm is used as the gas sealing material between the molybdenum rod and the quartz glass in the special lamp and the special electric light source device, the sealing temperature is as high as 1700 ~ 1800℃, and the recrystallization temperature of pure molybdenum is only 1000 ~ 1200℃, so there is often brittleness and fracture. Its high temperature strength is also low and easy to deform.

When the pre-annealing temperature before rolling is lower than 1300℃, the wire is easy to crack and delaminate. When the temperature is higher than 1400℃, the rolled foil strip is easy to bend and brittle, and only the wire annealed between 1300 and 1400℃ has good rolling processing performance. La2O3-Mo foil strip, if annealed in hydrogen at 1700℃ for 30 minutes, has excellent strength and elongation, and will form a large lapping structure after recrystallization. At a high temperature of 1700 ~ 1800℃, if they are sealed with quartz glass, they will not be brittle, the elongation is greater than 15%, and the number of bending is greater than 5 times.
