Hot rolling technology for increasing the surface hardness of tungsten rod and molybdenum rod
Tungsten and molybdenum are high temperature resistant metals, with good thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient, high temperature strength, low vapor pressure and wear resistance, etc., is an important material for electronic and electric equipment manufacturing, metal material processing industry, glass manufacturing, high temperature furnace structural components manufacturing, aerospace and national defense industry applications.
Tungsten and molybdenum are two kinds of high temperature resistant metals. Together, tungsten and molybdenum represent an industry, namely refractory metal industry. Other refractory metals are niobium, zirconium, titanium, and hafnium, not an element. For industrial development has a great role, the product is mainly used in argon arc welding machine on the current electrode. China is a major producer of tungsten and molybdenum in the world, and its export accounts for 80% of the world's total. It is widely used in welding, electric light source, electronic devices, chemical industry, mining, metallurgy, shipbuilding, petroleum, aerospace and other industrial fields, with broad prospects.
Hot rolling process to improve the surface hardness of tungsten-molybdenum rod. In the process of hot rolling, mercury is sprayed on the surface of the roll, and then the simple powder of manganese, osmium and iridium is sprayed on the roll. In the way of hot rolling, manganese, osmium and iridium are precipitated to form a gap solid solution, and hardening film is formed on the surface of tungsten-molybdenum rod, thus improving the surface hardness of tungsten-molybdenum rod.
