Thermocouple is one of the most commonly used temperature detection elements in industry, it directly measures the temperature, and converts the temperature signal into thermoelectric motive force signal, and then converts the temperature of the measured medium through the electrical instrument. As one of the important components of the element, thermocouple wire can be prepared with platinum, rhodium, nickel, chromium, copper, silicon or iron elements, but also tungsten, rhenium elements production. The following will introduce the basic information of tungsten - rhenium thermocouple wire.

1. Physical and chemical properties
It has the characteristics of high melting point (3300℃), low vapor pressure, high mechanical strength, good pressure resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high sensitivity, large electromotive force, and good chemical stability in non-oxidizing atmosphere.

2. Type
According to the different proportion of tungsten-rhenium elements, tungsten-rhenium thermocouple wire can be divided into tungsten-rhenium 3/25 and tungsten-rhenium 5/26 models. According to the index number of different, it can be divided into W/(re W - 26), (W - 3 re)/(W - 25 re), (5 W - re)/(W re - 26), and (5 W - re)/(re) W - 20, etc.

3. Production process
Pre-alloy powder preparation → forming → Pre-sintering → vertical melting → rotary forging → cleaning → annealing → finished product packaging.

4. Precautions
1) If the organization of tungsten rhenium material is not uniform, it will directly affect the service life of the product.

2) In vacuum, hydrogen, inert gas environment, long-term use temperature range of 2000 ~ 2400℃, short-term use up to 3000℃.

3) At 1200℃, the non-uniform thermoelectric EMF of the positive or negative pole of the whole coil (disc) diwire shall not exceed 40-80μV.

4) Tungsten-rhenium 3/25, whose positive material composition is 97%W and rhenium 3%Re, negative material composition is 75%W and rhenium 25%Re; tungsten-rhenium 5/26, which has a positive material composition of 95%W and rhenium 5%Re, and a negative material composition of 74%W and rhenium 26%Re. The allowable deviation of thermoelectric potential is 4.0℃ for both of them at 0~400℃. At 400~2300℃, the allowable deviation of thermoelectric potential is ±0.25%t.

Our company can process and customize tungsten-rhenium thermocouple, tungsten plate, tungsten rod, tungsten wire, tungsten hot zone, molybdenum plate, molybdenum rod, molybdenum foil, molybdenum wire, molybdenum hot zone, molybdenum thermocouple.
