How to measure the length and width of hot rolling mill effectively

Due to the bending and jumping phenomenon of molybdenum plate in the process of rolling and conveying, the industrial camera has the characteristic of "near larger than far smaller" when taking images, and the distance between molybdenum sheet and camera cannot be determined by analyzing a single image.So, hot-rolled molybdenum plate length and width measurement, can detect those necessary data?

The two cameras, like the eyes of the human eye, can produce stereoscopic vision, so that enough information can be obtained to determine the distance of the object being measured, and to correct and eliminate the influence of distance changes on the measurement.

A spatial coordinate system was established in the field of view of the camera. The coordinate system took the width direction of the molybdenum plate as X axis, the length direction as Y axis and the thickness direction as Z axis. During measurement, the Y-axis was divided into several equal intervals (30mm or 50mm), and then the positions of the two edges in the width direction of the molybdenum plate in the camera were taken in each interval.

By molybdenum plates, the position of the two edges in the two camera through geometrical deduction, molybdenum plate can be calculated on the edge of the position in the X - Z coordinate space P1 (x1, z1) and P2 (x2, z2), the width of the area between the molybdenum plate is the linear distance between P1 and P2 W = | P1P2 | =) [(x1, x2) ^ 2 + (z1, z2) ^ 2). The maximum width and minimum width of the molybdenum plate can be obtained by comparing the width dimensions in all sections.

The maximum length of molybdenum plate is relatively large. Two industrial cameras are set to measure the length and width. The field of vision (measurement range) of each camera is 1200×900mm, and the distance between the two cameras is 1800mm. The maximum measurement range is 3000mm, and the measurement blind zone between the two cameras is 600mm.

When measuring the molybdenum plate whose length is less than 1200mm, one camera can be used when the molybdenum plate is in the field of view of one camera. When the length of the molybdenum plate is more than 1200mm, the length boundary of the molybdenum plate is measured by two cameras when the molybdenum plate is between the field of view of two cameras.

Maximum length, minimum length and two maximum and minimum widths can be measured. By comparing the maximum and minimum widths of the two cameras, the true maximum and minimum widths are obtained.

By this method, the width and length of hot-rolled molybdenum plate can be detected simultaneously, and the measurement range is very large. The equipment is a high-precision nondestructive testing equipment, high sensitivity, high measurement accuracy, hot rolled sheet measurement industry has brought great convenience.
