The purpose of the molybdenum
1、Iron and steel additives: as the alloy additives of iron and steel is the most important use of molybdenum, and steel containing molybdenum accounts for 1/10 of the world's crude steel output. Molybdenum chemical products: this account for about 10% of the total consumption of molybdenum, about half of which is for lubricant, followed by catalyst, pigment, corrosion inhibitor, reagent and so on.
2、Molybdenum and molybdenum base alloy: they account for about 6% of the total consumption of molybdenum in the world. Molybdenum has many advantages, such as high melting point and boiling point, good high temperature strength, anti-friction and corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient and good hardenability, which make it widely used in aerospace, weapons, electronics, chemical and other fields. When recycling satellites re-enter the atmosphere, it is necessary to overcome thermal scouring. Therefore, it is required to withstand the environment of vibration, impact, vacuum, radiation and temperature alternation. Molybdenum alloy is commonly used to make the skin of the stabilized skirt of satellite recovery module. TZM molybdenum alloy is also used in the production of space rocket or space shuttle solid fuel rocket engine nozzle, rocket nose cone, aircraft leading edge, rudder, heat shield, honeycomb structure and so on.
