Molybdenum doped purple tungsten oxide, also known as molybdenum doped purple tungsten (MO-W18O49), can be synthesized in one step by hydrothermal method.
Molybdenum doped W18O49 can be used as a catalyst for hydrogen production and has high hydrogen production activity. Why does molybdenum doping increase the hydrogen production activity of purple tungsten oxide as a catalyst?
Mo after doping, violet tungsten as a catalyst, the hydrogen production activity was improved because of molybdenum added to increase the active site of catalyst, composed of a wiener rice noodle approximate 3 d microstructure will not only help electronic transmission, further improve the transfer rate of the interface charge, thereby improve the activity of the catalyst to produce hydrogen. According to its electrochemical impedance spectrum, Mo-W18O49 catalyst can effectively reduce the charge conduction resistance, increase the electron conduction rate, accelerate the power generation of hydrogen, so that mo-W18O49 catalyst has excellent catalytic activity.
