Molybdenum chemical products
Molybdenum, chromium and aluminum salts can be deposited together to form molybdenum chromium red pigment. Molybdate ion and iron ion on the metal surface form insoluble Fe2 (MoO4) 3, which passivates the metal surface and achieves the effect of rust prevention. Its color changes from light clear to light red. It has strong covering ability and bright color. It is mainly used in coatings, plastics, rubber, ink, automobile and ship coatings and other fields. Molybdate of zinc, calcium and sodium are widely used as anti-corrosion pigments because they do not contain lead which affects the environment and human health.
Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is a good solid lubricant and plays an important role in industrial application. It has very low friction coefficient (0.03-0.06) and high yield strength (3.45MPa). It can be used at high temperature (350 ℃) and various ultra-low temperature conditions. It can even work normally at 1200 ℃ under vacuum conditions. It has excellent lubrication effect especially in high-speed mechanical parts. So it is widely used in steam turbine, gas turbine, metal roller, gear tooth, mould, automobile and aerospace equipment.
